Welcome to the Official Rugby CV of Australian International Sevens speedster Allan Fa’alava’au. Born in Auckland, New Zealand Fa’alava’au moved to Melbourne, Australia with his family when he was 14 years old. With Samoan heritage and a strong sense of family, rugby was a natural fit for the music loving man.
Allan represented Australian Schoolboys in 2011 and while playing club rugby for Endeavour Hills Rugby Club, was called up to the Australia Sevens side making his debut at the Las Vegas 7s in February 2012. That same year he was named in the Australia Under 20s side for the Junior World Championship in South Africa.
Allan made a lasting impression during his first season with the Australian Sevens side and while he is a quiet person off the field, his talent and ability on the field speaks volumes.
Fa’alava’au was granted Australian citizenship in 2014 and signed a new contract with the Aussie Sevens in January 2015.
Through his hard work and dedication to the game, Allan went on to represent Australia Sevens at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, placing 4th but just missing out on the Bronze medal.
